I have seen a lot of cultural differences between my country and the U.S. such as life styles, house designs, roads, clothes, food, social relationships, and so on. It seems that it's not fair to compare two different cultures because each culture has its own features, but when you encounter different cultures, you might still have a cultural shock and then need some time to get used to it.

Topic six: Spring break plan
Originally, I had a plan to go to Washington D.C. or Chicago with my friend, but we canceled the plan later, so I have been staying in Kent during spring break, and I want to go to some new places in Ohio.
Topic Five: Home type that I prefer to live in
I like to live with my family in a medium-sized house that has a large garden because I love my family and I feel calm whenever I'm with them. Also, I don't like big cities.
Topic Four: English skill
I think that listening and reading are easier for me because I have memorized a lot of words that help me understand in reading and listening. However, I'm not good at speaking and writing because I didn't learn grammar in the past so that I don't know how to organize sentences in English. Therefore, I think I should try to improve my grammar in order to organize sentences in English well.

Topic Three: Something Unique
Everyone has many unique qualities, interests, physical characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, etiquette, etc. I don't like to talk about my personality, but one of my characteristics is that I never read anything about sports.
Topic two: ESL Classes
I'm taking ESL classes. English is an international language, so it's very important for me to complete my study (for the master degree). Also, studying English can help me read many important books and contact with people.
Topic One: About me
My name is Haval, and I'm from Iraq. I was born in Sulaimani City. My native language is Kurdish. I have a bachelor degree of Science Financial and Accounting in Sulaimani Technical College. I worked as a cost controller for three years at Lafarge Cement Co. My hobbies are listening to music, reading books, studying Geographic Science, and watching documentary films.
